Aquarium Tracker ("the app") is developed and published by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account to create and identify your account.
Content you add to the app. Tank details, water parameter readings, maintenance reminders, livestock, equipment, expenses, and journal entries you enter are stored securely and linked to your account so they sync across your devices.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to Aquarium Tracker Pro, Google Play Billing processes the payment. We never see or store your payment card details — we only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play.
Advertising data. If you're on the free tier, the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see ads and this data is not collected for them.
We do not collect your location, and we do not access your device's contacts, photos, or files.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and sync your data across devices
- To send local reminder notifications for maintenance tasks you've scheduled
- To provide Pro features to subscribed accounts
- To show ads to free-tier users, via Google AdMob
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Where your data is stored
Your account and app data are stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Access is restricted so that only you can read or write your own data — this is enforced by server-side security rules, not just app logic.
Third-party services
The app relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase — account authentication and data storage
- Google Play Billing — subscription payments
- Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only)
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, visit our account deletion page or email leaskegaming@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We'll delete your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we're required to retain certain records (such as billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.
Children's privacy
Aquarium Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard practices, including Firebase's authentication and per-user data access rules, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using commercially reasonable safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
